The park is located in the northern part of the province of Verona, encompassing a geographical area ranging from 1,200 meters to the peaks. The park includes all the Veronese mountains except for Mount Baldo. The park features an extensive network of trails for hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding, and also offers the opportunity for winter sports.
The fauna in the park includes deer, roe deer, alpine chamois, marmots, foxes, weasels, beech martens, hares, squirrels, and dormice, in addition to numerous species of wild birds such as the golden eagle, peregrine falcon, capercaillie, ountain pheasant, tawny owl, black woodpecker, and water ouzel.
